If you didn’t know already, we also run a comedy-only fest, Laugh Track Comedy Fest. It’s a unique mixture of stand-up comics and short films. Not only that, but we’re Denver’s ONLY comedy fest. I know all you Festivus fans out there are just counting down the days until the 2009 festival.

A great shot from Gatlin’s now-legendary photo shoot that took place right on stage during Festivus ’08 accompanies the article. For those of you that were there for the Beauty 24 screening, you know exactly what photo I’m talking about. For those of you that weren’t, this is one pic you really have to see to believe!
Thanks to everyone that came out to “Free Movie Friday.” It was a great event and everybody had a lot of fun. The programming was extremely impressive. It’s always great to see such up-and-coming talent from our local student filmmakers. Keep posted to the website for more upcoming events!
So tonight is our big event at the Bug Theatre. Free Movie Friday, brought to you completely cash-free by Festivus! Come by and check out a great selection of student films, as well as some of the favorite shorts from Festivus ’08. Everything kicks off at 7:00, and you can get directions to the venue at www.bugtheatre.org.
We also have a special bonus for the first 50 people that arrive: 2 free tickets to see this year’s Sundance hit Son of Rambo at the Esquire May 14, as well as a free Son of Rambo t-shirt! What could be better?! So be sure to come early to get all the goods!
Yet another update to our student-themed event coming up this Friday at the Bug Theatre… It will now be an “exhibition” rather than a competition. We’ll be playing a great batch of student films, as well as a fine selection of shorts from Festivus 08. Entry into the event is now FREE so grab your friends and come watch some great movies!
